Mangalore: Regional rural banks (RRBs) can play a major role in reaching out to rural people through implementing financial inclusion programme and by extending micro-financing activity in an effective way, according to Dr N.K. Thingalaya, economist.
Inaugurating a workshop for the employees of Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB) at Aloysius Institute of Business Administration here, he said most of the banks say that they have achieved 100 per cent financial inclusion by opening ‘no-frills’ accounts.
