Bank of Baroda launches 7 new initiatives on 26th November 2007 at Bancon Conference held at Taj Lands End Hotel, Mumbai.
Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal ,Minister of State (Finance),Government of India launched the following new initiative of Bank of Baroda on 26th Nov ,2007 at Bancon conference held at Taj lands End ,Mumbai .
Opening of 52 new branches in India :- Out of these 52 branches, 5 are located in Metros, 8 in urban, 29 in Semi Urban and 10 in Rural areas, covering 17 states in India. This launch takes the total number of branches in India to 2775 and with 43 overseas branches, our total no. of branches have reached a magnanimous figure of 2818.
After the successful launch of our 1st Gen-Next branch in Pune ,we have 2nd Gen-Next branch in Bangalore.
Rolled out 151 branches under Core Banking Solution in India :- With 151 new Branches, the total number of CBS branches has soared to 1385, spreading across as many as 577 centres and 13 territories.
Launched 51 new ATMs simultaneously across the country :- Out of these 51 ATMs, 36 are in Metro and Urban areas and 15 in Semi urban and rural areas taking the total number of our ATMs to 1078.
Launched First Biometric ATM in India at Gandevi Branch in Valsad district of Gujarat. Some of the key features of biometric ATM are :
Launched new asset product - Reverse Mortgage Loan :- Specially designed for senior citizens whereby the can avail disbursement in monthly/quarterly/half yearly instalments against their residential property.
Launched HRnes and Fluous Pay roll modules a comprehensive web-enabled Human Resource Management system with centralized Database to support Automated processing of Roster, Salary Calculation and Pay Fixation It is designed with Bilingual functionality, for Employee self service
